About Easy Recipes for Families
Meet the editorial team behind Easy Recipes for Families: what we write about, how we write simple recipes from around the world and what to expect.
Easy Recipes for Families is an independent food blog run by a small editorial team. We publish under the name of the site rather than as individual authors, because every recipe and guide here is a shared effort: planned, written and checked by the team before it goes live.
What we write about
Our focus is simple, everyday food that works for families. Many of our recipes come from kitchens around the world, from Danish frikadeller and Spanish tortilla to Dutch pannenkoeken and Hungarian palacsinta, because we think children enjoy discovering new flavors as much as adults do when the dishes are approachable.
We also write practical guides about the parts of family cooking that are not strictly recipes: meal planning, freezer cooking, school snacks, budget shopping, picky eaters and kitchen safety.
How we work
- Weeknight first. We favor recipes with short ingredient lists and realistic timings.
- Clear instructions. Measurements are given in US cups, ounces and pounds, with oven and air fryer temperatures in Fahrenheit and Celsius.
- Respect for tradition. When we adapt a dish for children, we say so and explain what the traditional version looks like.
- Safety basics. We include safe cooking temperatures and food storage advice where it matters.
Links to other sites
Now and then we point readers to other recipe websites when they offer a useful comparison, a regional version of a dish or more ideas on the same theme. We only link where we think it genuinely helps.
A note on health
Our articles are general information for home cooks. They are not a substitute for advice from a doctor, pediatrician or registered dietitian, especially where allergies or specific dietary needs are involved.
